Strong communities rely on strong community leaders

Across Aotearoa, many community leaders - paid staff, trustees, Board Chairs and volunteers alike - carry significant responsibility with limited support and development. Mentoring Foundation of New Zealand exists to change that.

Founded in Taranaki, Mentoring Foundation is a nationwide provider of leadership mentoring expertise and programmes that strengthen community leadership and community organisations, build capability and confidence amongst leaders, and contribute to more resilient, connected, thriving communities across Aotearoa.

More than 800 community leaders have been supported through 70 mentoring programmes delivered with 26 community partner organisations, backed by a 455-strong volunteer mentor network.

Community Leadership Mentoring

We work with community partners to provide community leadership mentoring programmes throughout Aotearoa. Our programmes strengthen communities and help community sector leaders make positive change at a local level.

Our programmes support leaders' development and impact through focused mentoring relationships. They build capability, confidence, connection and effectiveness, with positive outcomes for community organisations and their mahi.
